Naperville, IL, November 4, 2008– The Information Integrity Coalition (IIC), a not-for-profit organization that promotes awareness and understanding of Information Integrity, recognized winners and finalists at the 13th annual Excellence in Information Integrity (EII) Awards Banquet. The Banquet was held on 20 October, 2008 at the Great Hall of Cafe Brauer in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Information Integrity is the accuracy, consistency and reliability of the information content, process and system.
The EII Awards Program recognizes two categories of organizations: For-Profit and Non-Profit. In each category there are three award levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze. The 2008 Awards Program recognized organizations that have made exceptional progress to provide accurate, consistent and reliable information to their customers, suppliers and partners through a single project or an enterprise-wide effort towards achieving Information Integrity. The 2008 EII Awards program was co-sponsored by 36 organizations. The 2008 EIIA Banquet was sponsored by Infogix, Inc., Adventity Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Office of Trade and Investment – The State of Illinois and Business Excellence, Inc.
All award applications were reviewed by a panel of independent judges who are advocates of Information Integrity. The judges evaluated applications based on how the applicant addressed Information Integrity issues/opportunities using best practices on a sustained basis producing demonstrable results. Independent scores and comments were reviewed collectively by the judges to determine the winners and finalists in each category.

Mr. Madhavan Nayar, Co-Founder, Director and President of IIC outlined the importance of Information Integrity and shared a five-prong approach (recognition, awareness, education, research and standards) to advance the cause of Information Integrity globally. Mr. Stephen Konya, Chief of Staff, Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity delivered a message from the Governor of Illinois. A technical panel discussed “The Real Benefits of Information Integrity.” Around 215 distinguished executives attended the Banquet. The Cafe Brauer provided a great ambience for the evening Banquet.
