About IIC
The Information Integrity Coalition has a three-fold agenda:
Awareness: The IIC has been established because past and present focus on information and Information Integrity has been limited to specific industries, professions and disciplines. Consequently, the knowledge, technology and experience gained within diverse fields such as auditing, information economics, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, decision theory, law, robotics, software, etc. have not been leveraged through synthesis and universal application. The IIC intends to increase awareness of Information Integrity and be the clearinghouse for the knowledge and expertise about Information Integrity and the catalyst for creating a new Information Integrity discipline and industry.
Recognition: The IIC recognizes organizations that demonstrate progress towards
achieving Information Integrity through its annual Excellence in Information Integrity (EII) Award Program. Whether through a single project or an enterprise-wide effort, organizations that have made exceptional progress towards achieving Information Integrity deserve recognition for their efforts. The EII Award recognizes two categories of organizations: For-Profit and Non-Profit organizations. In each category there are up to three award levels: Gold, Silver and Bronze. For more information about the EII Award, visit EII Award web site.
Standards: The IIC will serve as a catalyst in the formulation and adoption of standards for Information Integrity through the coordinated efforts of Special Interest Groups across industries, academic disciplines and government agencies.
The IIC aims to facilitate and participate in many initiatives related to Information Integrity and leverage the knowledge and relationships gained in the process with the guidance from a global Board of Directors.
